Job Location: Jordan
Job Description: Reporting directly to the Fire and General Accidents Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Studying various insurance proposals, gathering and assessing background information about a given risk.
  • Handling all aspects of commercial and personal line underwriting including risk analysis and selection.
  • Rating new risks within your assigned authority limits but with minimal or no direct supervision.
    Post claims underwriting.
  • Drafting and issuing all necessary policy documents using in-house computer programs.
  • Dealing effectively with all levels of marketing and management staff throughout the office.
  • Negotiating appropriate terms and conditions for risks written including rates, premiums, deductibles and coverage extensions or restrictions as may be warranted.
  • Interpreting policy wordings and coverage, and providing guidance to brokers and marketers on the appropriate forms of coverage required for the risks presented.
  • Conducting liaising with specialists for risk assessment.
Required Skills:
  • University degree is a must
  • Processing internal and external product sample requests
  • General office responsibilities
  • Self motivated, high energy
  • Solid communication skills in Arabic and English (both written and verbal)
  • Owns a car and has a license
